Personalization…Make it your own!
I love when you walk into someone’s house and you immediately know who they are and what’s important to them. Whether family photos hanging on the wall or a collection of elephant statues, the way you decorate and entertain says a lot about you. The same idea goes for your wedding. Guests should have a glimpse of you when they attend your big day.

Moonlight Meadery
How you go about this is entirely up to you. If you like it, go for it. For my wedding, I added a few special touches to make it more personal. First, I had Moonlight Meadery out of Londonderry come and put on a Mead Wine Tasting during my cocktail hour. In case you don’t know, mead is a wine made from honey. It is delicious and many people do not know about it. I wanted to give my guests an experience that they may not have ever had before. It also made the cocktail hour more interactive by having guests mingle past the tasting where they just might strike up a conversation with the person standing next to them about this delicious drink.
Another thing I did was decorate with old family wedding photos. When guests first arrived, there was a table next to the entrance that was covered with small votives that had their names/table numbers on them instead of traditional place cards. Behind the table, I hung thick ribbon from a curtain rod which had family wedding photos on it. We had our grandparents, parents and sisters. Everyone loved to see the different generations and it demonstrated how important our wedding and our family is to us.
These were some of my personalizations, you decide what you like. Maybe it’s a particular animal or a theme wedding or a video game, whatever your Bridal Dream, make it your own!
